What is B1 Teeth Whitening?

Teeth whitening is a popular cosmetic dental treatment that transforms the appearance of a smile by brightening and whitening tired looking discoloured teeth. Teeth tend to discolour naturally owing to a variety of reasons from medical issues, age, lack of care or habits such as smoking. The outer layer of the tooth can also become stained by certain foods and drink such as for example, red wine or coffee.

Dental practices offer teeth whitening Canary Wharf treatments such as B1 Enlighten whitening, which is considered the whitest shade for natural teeth, though nowadays there are shades that are slightly lighter. It is a safe, effective and non-invasive treatment which is popular for delivering natural looking whiteness to your teeth. It has been instrumental in bringing back confidence for people in their smiles by transforming their teeth.

How does this teeth whitening technique work?

Enlighten whitening is a two week treatment roughly depending on each patient and provides a B1 shade. It has to be done under the supervision of a dentist in Canary Wharf who will ensure that all the necessary steps are taken at the right time and results are achieved. During your initial consultation your dentist will ensure that Enlighten whitening system is suitable for your needs. There-after an impression of your teeth will be taken using the special impression material supplied by Enlighten. This is to create your custom whitening trays.

The moulds that are sent to the Enlighten lab are fabricated to the highest quality. During the time it takes for your custom trays to come you will be given a tooth whitening toothpaste for you to brush and prepare your teeth for the treatment.

During the second visit of the treatment you will be given the bleaching tray together with the whitening gel, which you will need to use for 14 consecutive nights. The final step for this teeth whitening treatment is a forty-five minute session at the clinic where your dentist will ensure that the colour looks natural and evenly done.

What are the materials used for Enlighten B1 teeth whitening?

This state of the art whitening system uses a version of carbamide peroxide gel which is safe for oral use. The Enlighten gel is pH neutral and causes no damage to the surface of the teeth or harm gums. This is why this whitening treatment is considered as one of the safest.

Benefits of Teeth Whitening procedures

The main benefit of the Enlighten teeth whitening Canary Wharf system is that it can deliver predictable results. It is the most successful procedure currently on offer that gives patients a whitening up to the lightest out of the 16 shades on offer, B1. This is regardless of age, lifestyle, starting shade of the natural teeth and dietary habits.

Further it provide a natural looking result, pain free and achievable in the relatively short time of about two weeks. Another definite plus is that it uses a lower concentration of bleaching gel than other procedures. It provides patients with brilliantly transformed smiles with teeth that look naturally white while being easy to maintain with very little effort.

Enlighten B1 Teeth Whitening vs other types of teeth whitening

B1 Whitening guarantees an extremely white shade for your teeth without causing damage to your teeth. You will see a noticeable difference within a few days. By maintaining a home top-up system the results last a very long time post treatment. It works straight through the enamel without harming the tooth surface. It is, however, quite an expensive treatment, but proves to be worth it when you consider all the benefits it provides, especially the fact that the results are more long lasting than other treatments.

Enlighten Teeth Whitening Aftercare

You will need to maintain good oral health with a good oral care routine which your dentist will advise you on. Further you may be asked to avoid food that stain your teeth such as curries, red wine and coffee for a short while.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the procedure take?

B1 Enlighten whitening needs to be done under the supervision of a dentist and cannot be bought over the counter. Your dentists will check the viability of the treatment for you and based on that you will be advised. The procedure takes about two weeks to complete, which can vary slightly depending on each patient. If your dentist gives you the go ahead to continue with the treatment then your initial step will be to have a mould of your teeth done. The custom whitening super-sealed trays are made in a dedicated lab just for you.

You will use these trays over a period of 14 consecutive nights along with supplied Enlighten teeth whitening gel. The final step once the two week period is done, is a 40 minute treatment done at the dental practice under the supervision of your dentist to even out the shade and stabilise it.

This whitening treatment does not damage your teeth or gums at all. However you may experience some sensitivity and in extremely rare cases intense sensitivity. Yet this does go away once the treatment is completed.

Technically the results should last forever, but these do depend on you maintaining it with a simple yet effective home top up regime. During the 1st year you should top up one night every two months and during the second year one night every three months. There-after one night every six months or basically twice a year. With the proper top up maintenance and care you will be able to enjoy your whiter teeth for a very long time with very little hassle.
